Railcar Maintenance

Motive Power & Equipment Solutions Inc (MP&ES) has provided railcar maintenance services for companies such as General Electric for many years with facilities and qualified personnel throughout Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Baltimore. Our services include easy access in-plant and mobile maintenance repair.

Railcar Repair - AAR Rule 88/Heavy

MP&ES’s repair shop in Greenville, SC maintains an AAR M1003 status which qualifies us to do heavy repairs as well as special railcar construction and/or modification. Our Quality Assurance Program is well established and is an integral part of our company structure and customer service mindset.

Industrial Switching

MP&ES’s provides seasoned crews and top quality locomotives for unit train in-plant switching. Our personnel are experienced railroad people with years of training and on-the-job experience. Our locomotives are maintained daily and are always ready for optimum service.

Daily Locomotive Inspections

MP&ES performs FRA-mandated daily locomotive inspections. Our specialists record inspections on official FRA forms and maintain required paperwork on a third-party basis. This service relieves your crew of this requirement and assures records compliance.

Track Construction - Industrial Yard Development and Maintenance

MP&ES provides expertise in the development and construction of industrial yard track to meet customer specifications. We also provide complete monthly track inspection and maintenance services.

AAR Railcar Billing Services

MP&ES provides railcar billing services that meet all rules and regulations required by AAR guidelines. Our system adapts to AAR pricing matrixes and provides required historical repair data by individual railcar, creating a value-added database for our repair and maintenance clients, many of whom have thousands of railcars under management. The system is available for use by others in the industry through lease and/or systems acquisition.
